! The Spice Girls are BACK with their single, "Holler Holler"/"Let Love Lead the Way" October 23rd & new album out the UK on November 6th; US November 7th !
§PICES OF THE WORLD, Unite!
I
added a banner made by Gear544 of
SGC. Following news
of the album title, "Forever," Gear designed a banner to help promote the
MUCH-anticipated album we've been waiting for since 1998. The album actually
comes out in the US the following day, November 7th. If you would like to
link the picture to your own site or just add it with an e-mail to SPICE
it up, feel free to. Selfish Promotion is the best kind of promotion, so
have no shame what so ever. I linked it to the Spice Girls site since I'm
assuming they'll have some sort of album coverage. Just remember, the more
people that know, the more people that are potential buyers! I still have
to add a banner to promote Case's "Let Love Lead the Way"/"Holler Holler"
Premiere MP3 Extravaganza on September 7th, so you all will have a nice fill
for all your banner needs! Check back for details or if you're impatient,
you can click here and find
out.
Please
except my sincerest apology for the massive lack of updates! Unfortunately,
SOTW has been having massive problems concerning webspace. I won't bore you
with details, but we're still welcoming all suggestions
via e-mail. Regardless, we are
still able to upload specific (but limited) files onto gurlpages which is
our server of choice. Please be patient while we try to re-organize. Alternative
servers have been found, but due to guidelines, although files may be posted,
there's no guarantee they will stay uploaded. If any links fail, please just
contact me via e-mail.
SOTW's News
Section has been updated again! We will be taking the
Melanie C Works in
Progress Section down and moving it into the multimedia, so here's your
last chance to visit the section. Don't forget about our
Tell Me Section either,
that'll be up for the next two updates. Thank you once again for your support.
SOTW
is proud to present that the multimedia section has added new audios from
two different Mel C CDs! The first of which is her UK # 1 smash, "I Turn
To You" CD 1 including the Hex Hector Radio Mix, Stonebridge R&B Radio
Mix, and a live performance from MTV of "Never Be The Same Again" with Lisa
'Left Eye' Lopes. The second CD is Melanie C's US Radio Promo CD for "Never
Be The Same Again." It features a call-out research hook, a radio edit, which
is a bit different from the one on her UK single, and a US Exclusive not
on her CDs: The Kung Pow Remix. Please visit the
Multimedia Section to
check them out!
SOTW's EXCLUSIVE Birmingham Section has been re-posted and is in working condition! So please visit it! Our Glasgow Section is currently being fine-tuned and will be re-posted shortly. I would also like to bring it to your attention that thanks to Gear of SGC, we have located the original server where the pics were taken from. The pictures (thumb nails & all) were originally found at the Mirror's Archive of Pictures. The generous donator did not specify where he had obtained the pics from and I'm thankful that we did find where the pics originated from. If you were particularly impressed by any of the pictures from the Glasgow Section, you can actually order full pictures from that site! Keep checking back for the status of that section.
I haven't had any more submissions for the Speak Out Section!. Please remember that the editorial portion of the site in no means represents the ideas or beliefs of Spices of the World, so don't come complaining! Just kidding, I welcome ANY idea, opinion, or suggestion, you can e-mail me by clicking here and just type "Idea" or "Submission" in the subject box, I welcome anything (positive, never anything negative). Does anything bother you? Want to speak your mind on something? SOTW has come up with a few suggestive topics (if you have a strong opinion or any opinion at all, don't hesitate.)
1. What do you think about the new Spice album news? Do you think the Spice Girls' solo careers are a hindrance in the group momentum? Is it a good or bad thing for the Spices to branch themselves out?
2. What do you think about the new Spice Girls' single being a double A-side? Are they wrecking the surprise of a new album or giving fans a fresh new taste of what's to come? Would you have preferred a different set of songs than "Holler Holler"/"Let Love Lead the Way."
3. What do you think about the new Girl Groups out there? Girl Thing was recently slammed by Mel C about being a copy cat act? Do the Spice Girls have a right to tell the "Wannabes" off or should the Spice Girls stay away from making comments since they were the basis for a manufactured group?
If you want to make your own .htm or .html file with pics or just having something to say, don't be afraid to share it! If you're not to interested with the editorial page and have something to say, feel free to respond back, I welcome input. I read everything, but only consider the positive input, though I enjoy reading hate mail. If you have something to say please feel free to express yourself, SOTW welcomes all opinions, but please remember that people of all ages, races, and gender websurf, so nothing too derogatory, please.
Stay SPICE-d,
Mpspice.
"Track of the Interval of Time."
This update's Track of the Interval of Time has undergone massive update!!! You just can't handle what we're throwing at you this time! Behold! SEVEN Brand new tracks, well mostly new! First up is the new Backstreet Boys song entitled "It's True," which you can get a copy of when you stop by Burger King and throw down $2.99 and order a meal and pay! The next new smash is a duet that's been in the making: Mariah Carey and the lads of Westlife doing a cover of Phil Collin's "Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now)." The single just started getting airplay from Europe (and is a radio-rip with premiere talking) and most likely will be a US Single. The SOTW third track is from R&B female artist P!NK with her latest single off her album, "Can't Take Me Home" called "Most Girls." Following her is R&B Trio (and Spice supporters), Cleopatra, who just released a new album calling "Steppin' Out." Their first US single is named, "U Got It," though their UK single, "Come And Get Me" was much better. "U Got It" is available here and also available as a single. SOTW would like to bring you yet another Christina Aguilera Track, this one is very special. Christina mentioned "Dreamy Eyes" in her Rollingstone article, but the track has no plans to be released. Thankfully due to some over-zealous fans and Napster, the track has seen the light of day (too bad the Spice Girls always seem to elude the light). We've got it in real audio for you! The last two (before this becomes an update of 10 tracks) are the album version of the title track from Madonna known as simply "Music" and MTV's brand new boyband spoof, 2Gether, returns with a great song called, "The Hardest Part of Breaking Up (Is Getting Back Your Stuff)." 2Gether's new album, "2Gether Again" is released August 29th with Madonna's new album out September 19th. Special thanks to Jorge & Mike again for some great suggestions! Please remember to RIGHT CLICK SAVE TARGET AS just as a pre-caution that everything will download in completion. I will be leaving these files up for the new update, so don't worry about downloading them all in one sit. I plan on having a section for the tracks because they're one of the more popular features on the site! Thanks again for your support! Enjoy as always!
Mariah Carey & Westlife: "Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now)"
Christina Aguilera: "Dreamy Eyes"
Madonna: "Music (Album Version)"
2Gether: "The Hardest Part of Breaking Up (Is Getting Back Your Stuff)"

§PICES OF THE
WORLD was originally founded as
a newsletter for helping fans and AOL members keep the Spice in their life
by sorting out information that is not easily available or accessible in
Anti-Spice America. While §OTW was a big hit in its first edition, due
to several computer errors, it has since lost many members, which is the
primary reasoning behind the launching of this site. §OTW promises to
bring you the latest news, sounds, interviews, sites, & everything else
you need to SPICE things up. If you'd like any additional information, please
Feel Free To Write Me By Clicking Here.
Of course, Geri Halliwell will remain a part of §OTW and you will see
her own section of this site aside from the Spice Girls.
